Tender & complex bid writing · Australia-wide

Most tenders are lost on the written response, not the price.

Government and council buyers score what you wrote against criteria they published. A good trade business with sharp pricing still loses when the response is thin, generic, or missing a mandatory attachment.

We read the request documents, tell you honestly whether the bid is worth entering, then write every response against the stated criteria — from your evidence, in your voice, for you to approve.

Fixed fee from $5,500 ex GST · quoted in writing after review · no success fees, ever

What you get

One fixed fee, four deliverables. Scoped in writing before any work starts, so there is no meter running.

Step 01

A straight go / no-go

We read the request documents and the evaluation criteria first. If the mandatory requirements rule you out, or the weighting favours an incumbent, we say so — before you pay for a bid you cannot win.

Step 02

Every response written to the criteria

Each question answered against what the buyer said they will score, with your projects, people and evidence in it. Written for a busy evaluator with a scoring sheet, not for a brochure.

Step 03

The compliance checklist

Licences, insurances, referees, WHS and quality documents, forms, formats and word limits — tracked to the schedule. Non-conforming bids get thrown out before anyone reads them.

Step 04

A reusable bid library

Your best answers kept as reusable content, so the next tender starts at 70% written instead of a blank page. This is the part that compounds.

Who buys your kind of work

Australian Government contract awards are published. We use them to show you which agencies actually buy your trade, at what size, and how often — which is a much better guide to where to bid than a hunch.

What this is not: awarded contracts are jobs that have already been won by someone else. They are demand evidence, not opportunities you can bid on today. We do not operate a private feed of open tenders, and anyone who tells you they have one is selling you a search of the same public portals you can use yourself: AusTender, QTenders (QLD), buy.nsw.

Take the free eligibility check and tell us you tender: the result screen adds the award activity in your categories, and names the agencies buying most often. Free, no email required to see it.

How an engagement runs

  1. You send the tender. A link or the documents, and the closing date. If the deadline is too close to do the work properly, we will tell you that instead of taking your money.
  2. We review and quote. A fixed fee in writing, from $5,500 ex GST, with the go/no-go opinion included. Nothing is charged for the review.
  3. You accept the engagement terms and we invoice 50% to start. Bank transfer — no card needed, and no percentage of the contract value.
  4. We draft, you approve. You review every response and every attachment. You are the bidder; nothing is submitted that you have not signed off.
  5. Final 50% on delivery, with your bid library handed over.

Questions people actually ask

Do you guarantee a win?
No, and nobody honestly can. Competitive processes fund or award a minority of bidders. We commit to the quality of the submission and to telling you when a bid is not worth entering. Fees are payable either way, and there are no success fees.
Why is it more than a grant application?
Tenders carry mandatory compliance schedules, pricing schedules, referees, and criteria weighted by the buyer. It is roughly 25 hours of work against a hard deadline, and a missed attachment voids the lot.
Can you help after we win?
Yes — reporting and acquittal paperwork is the part most businesses underestimate. Ask when you engage us and we will quote it separately.
We have never tendered. Is that a problem?
Not necessarily, but capability evidence matters more for a first bid. A Capability Statement is often the better first purchase — it is the document buyers ask for first.
Will you write for our competitor?
Not on the same tender, knowingly. If a conflict arises we disclose it promptly and do not continue without an agreed, confidentiality-safe resolution.
